Our Expert Team

Dr. Gregory McCann brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the genetics industry, including two decades of expertise in marketing semen and embryos to diverse international
markets.
An accomplished veterinarian with deep roots in the Dubbo region, Dr. McCann has served as a District Veterinarian for the Dubbo Local Land Service (formerly LHPA) and subsequently owned and operated both the Dubbo Veterinary Hospital and the Macquarie Artificial Breeders facility.
He possesses specialized knowledge in advanced reproductive technologies, with a particular focus on the Merino and Dohne sheep industries. Dr. McCann is also a proud part-owner of the Macquarie Dohne stud, reflecting his commitment to enhancing both carcass and wool quality in sheep through innovative genetic approaches.

Dr. Georgia McMaster is a Queensland-born livestock enthusiast with a strong passion forlarge animal reproduction. She graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga and quickly immersed herself in the field of reproductive veterinary science.
Through her work with Central West Genetics, Dr. McMaster has gained extensive experience in bovine reproduction across northern Queensland, as well as ovine
reproductive projects throughout New South Wales, Victoria, and internationally in South America, Mongolia, and Indonesia.
With a personal cattle stud at home, she is particularly focused on expanding the business’s capabilities in cattle reproduction. Additionally, Dr. McMaster has diversified her expertise by contributing to wildlife reproduction, including genetics collection from species such as lions, hyenas, and wolves.

Alicia McConnell is an experienced laboratory technician with extensive expertise in embryo and semen handling and grading. Whether working in the field or alongside Dr. Georgia
McMaster in Mongolia, Alicia consistently demonstrates a deep knowledge of all aspects of
embryo technology.
She is the co-owner and manager of ‘Alora Prestige,’ a Valais Blacknose sheep stud, and is actively involved in local and national sheep shows, proudly showcasing some of the world’s
finest examples of the breed. Alicia’s passion for animal care and her technical skills make her a valuable asset to the Central West Genetics team.

Robyn Tozer is a versatile and trusted member of the Central West Genetics team, serving as an administrator, nurse, technician, and support staff. With over 10 years of experience working alongside Dr. McCann, Robyn brings a wealth of knowledge and reliability to the organisation.
Her background includes roles with the Local Land Services and as a technician at Macquarie Artificial Breeders, equipping her with broad expertise across the industry. Well known and highly regarded by clients, Robyn is dedicated to building strong, lasting relationships that benefit both the company and its clients.
A passionate horse rider and lover of large animals, Robyn provides invaluable
support—whether it’s offering a friendly voice on the phone, assisting with caesarean
procedures, or coordinating the shipment of genetics worldwide. Her commitment and
multifaceted skills make her an essential part of the Central West Genetics team.
